The Foundation has been set up in fond memory of the founder's mother, Mrs. Lo Wat Chin Man. Mr. Lo senior passed away when the two sons in the family were only 14 and 9. Mrs. Lo had to go through hard time and many difficulties since then but finally succeeded in raising them to become responsible citizens. The founder of the Foundation is the younger son. With help from his brother, he had completed his college education and was conferred a doctor of philosophy degree in chemistry.
