We care about those students who are improving

ATTENTION: THIS FOUNDATION WILL CLOSE DOWN BY THE END OF 2020

In the twelve years of my educational career, and when my daughter was attending high school, I had one observation. Average or under average students who had been improving were seldom given sufficient attention. By the end of an academic year, awards and prizes were routinely given to top students. Under average students who had also worked hard and shown promising improvement could only sit in the audience and clap their hands.

To me, an under average student making a significant improvement is always a remarkable thing although their highest achievement might still appear to be ordinary. They should be given awards as well to sustain their high spirit. In this belief, the Wat Chin Man Memorial Foundation (hereafter the Foundation) is established. We will award these improving and advancing students with gifts and/or scholarships, with the hope that they will carry on trying hard knowing that there are people who care about them.
